If you are visiting us in Winter,you can expect to see the same bustle but the sports and events change up a little! Birtle and area has many groomed trails for snowmobiles and groomed/tracked Cross Country Skiing trails. We have a great hill for tobboganing, a hockey arena and a curling club. In nearby Agassiz Mountain you can get in some downhill skiing, sip a hot drink in the lounge and put your feet up. And yes, you can fish in the winter too! We are very close to some good lakes that offer great ice fishing. If you're not into sitting and relaxing, you can head out into a Winter Wonderland for a hike in amongst the trees and abundant wildlife.
